From stepping foot into hospital I spent most of the labour arguing. I have PTSD from the experience. There’s so much more I could write about the experience because it was truly horrific.

At an out of hours appointment because of some retained placenta tissue, after an extremely traumatic birth, I was examined with a speculum.

Fast forward to once we had our baby a few hours later they took him "for a quick check" and never came back, when we asked where he was we was told he is now staying in the special baby unit, we quickly asked to be shown where he was!

I wanted a vaginal birth after caesarean, I was predicted a big baby, they said they couldn't be wrong - they were.
